Event Details:

Bengal, a region in the eastern South Asia consist of Indian states of West Bengal, Tripura, and Barak Valley of Assam and the independent country of Bangladesh famous to its Bengali cuisines. Bengali cuisine is a style of food preparation originating in Bengal which emphasis on fish and lentils served with rice as a staple diet. It is known for its flavors, its confectioneries and desserts.

3 days, Bengali Food Festival is starting in Indore from 25th to 27th January 2013. The Bengali Club and School situated in the Navlakha area of the city is organizing a Bengali food festival. This event is another good news for Indore foodies/ gourmets. Indore always welcome the tradition and Indore foodies always eager to taste the new dishes - may be Marathi food offered in Jatra or Bengali food in Bengali food festival.

The festival will feature chefs from Kolkata who would prepare authentic Bengali fish dishes like Bhetki, Chingri, Hilsa and Rahu. There would also be a range of original Bengali sweets like Paesh, Labang Latika, Nolen Gur-er Sandesh, Patali Gur etc.

  1. Indian sweets come in a variety of colours, textures and shapes. Each sweet has its own identity in indian Sweets in Delhi/NCR- Sweet Shop, Sweet shop in India, Bengali Sweets in Delhi.
